This is in response to the anti-trans pittparents.com article entitled "To My Dear Friends: No, I don’t believe your son is now your daughter. No, that isn’t bigotry”
I used the title as a direct call out to their article, does that make it more clear?
This is awesome, and I restacked it with my comment/note. I love you dropped the link in the peanut gallery, I wonder how long it will be before they take it down!
Oh yeah, and the dangerous aspect to my engagement over there was that they took my attempts to reach them as "trolling" and that "they must be hitting the truth nail on the head, if they are getting attention like that."
Nothing could be further from the truth, but I guess when you are in that deep down the well, any one who reaches out with anything that goes against the echo-chamber approved narrative is "trolling."
Childish idiots that they are. They’re the trolls of this society, not us. They’re like 3-year-olds; rowdy ones. Don’t want to learn shit and think because they are the dominant class, they can’t be disputed. Guess I’ll have to go over there and see if they removed it or blocked me too. Morons!
I dared to read one of your footnote articles and said to myself, "You won't last as my friend with that mindset. You don't get to gaslight me or misgender me and still call me 'friend'." Their arguments, including commenters, don't get to deny my existence or invalidate me and think I won't dismiss you immediately.
That's like denying my lived experiences as a Black person because of your racist fears or bigotry. I don't trust people who say they are colorblind because it's a lie. My experiences say otherwise and I won't pretend to be white for someone's comfort zone. I also don't trust people who say being transgender isn't a lived experience by people all over the world. I'd side-eye you, swear at you, and get away from you as quickly as possible.
Notice they're always talking about men dressing as women, not women dressing as men. Dressing one way or the other doesn't mean you are trans or cis. It's that appendage hanging off biological male bodies that distresses them most. But, it is the dick of cisgender males that evokes their thoughts of bigotry & violence most of the time. I won't get into the whys of that, but lets just say they are the ones doing stupid, cruel, and dangerous things with that appendage.
I am a man because I believe I am a man and there was an ooops going on in my gene pool. I've known this about myself since I was 6 and had no language for it. My brain is one way, my body is another, and fuck anybody who thinks otherwise about me. They'll just be excused from my life. Our surgeries just help us be at one with our minds and doesn't make us biological anything. What I think makes me who I am. Penises don't alarm me or threaten me, just like vaginas don't either. One is sex, the other is gender, and who are those people to say someone's 'sex' must dominate one's existence. Screw them and not the nice kind of screwing. Perhaps with a cork screw. LOL
Why didn't you challenge any of those transphobic idiots in that article? UGH!
Because I am banned from their site, I can not comment there at all. I can only post things here and hope they stumble across it. I used to drop links and engage, trying to educate and patiently share and explain. I even made a few dummy accounts to keep the effort going, but the ban hammer is swift and harsh, and they would delete all my comments, links, and data I shared. They brook no dissent in their echo chamber.
I read your comment, later your article on it, and I am right there with you 100%.
They’re like Corporate Media who has a vested interest in not covering anything FOR us. They don’t want to know who we are; they don’t want others to know who we are; they don’t want to see our humanity. Neither do those people in that publication. They just want to be right. Narcissists!
I really like what you say about tradition. Legendary conductor Arturo Toscanini would have agreed with you; he said, famously: "Tradition is the last bad performance."
You know what’s interesting, women didn’t really enter the public sector until vaccines were invented because they had to spend all of their time having and raising kids (a good number of which would die before adulthood from disease). But after vaccines one could be reasonably assured that children would live to adulthood and that meant women could be free to be more than just baby producing machines.
Also these bathroom laws affect single parents. What is a mother supposed to do with their little boy when they have to use the public restroom? Or a father and his little girl? They are technically breaking the law by bringing their small children with them.
Outstanding, PITT! I'm going to have to read this again it was so good. We have so many stories to share that might get people to stop their judgments, stop their bigotry, see us as human beings first.
I remember how daunting it was to start going to the men's room. Most transmen go through that. I was horrified and had a bad dream about dropping my packer in the stall (LOL). Having someone look down and say, "What the fuck is this?" Drag me out and kick my ass.
Then I ran across a video explaining the etiquette of the men's room. It saved my life and I never had a problem going there again. Well, except that men are pretty gross creatures in our men's room.
They have no idea what we go through to be our authentic selves. None, Zero, Zip, Nada, Aucune. I had to conquer it, because it was just a matter of time before my beard grew in and women would question me or call the pohleece for my being in the lady's room.
Because of this hysteria around public bathrooms, they're calling the pohleece on lesbian studs now. I saw a video of them dragging a gay woman out of the bathroom with her friends screaming that she's a woman. That's what this bullshit is doing. Cismen dragging transwomen out of the bathroom and kicking their ass or killing them (for all we know). I made this video about my cousin being extremely transphobic with me about the bathroom issue & other things: https://youtu.be/yLgadKi61OY. SMFH
I doubt highly that there has been 1-5 documented incidents of anything nefarious happening in the ladies room by trans women. They do what any woman does in there, including primping in front of the mirror, reapplying makeup, etc (LOL). Transmen are less palpable, so they don't even care that we're in the men's room. This issue has never been about us, because IMO it's about our genitals.
I told a VA nurse to get her mind off my genitals after she misgendered me 5+ times before administering my testosterone shot. She looked at me with confusion and screamed, "I'm not thinking about your genitals. What are you talking about?" Oh yes she was ... subliminally. All the bigots are obsessed with this, like peeping toms or perverts.
Anyway, I'll close with this. They did the same thing towards Black people. The same bathroom hysteria. Water fountains, restaurants, buses, etc ... any public space that could be shared with whites. Then towards the LGB during the AIDS crisis.
I forgot one important thing about the bathroom issue. My mama used to pack us up and travel halfway across the country by car to hook up with our father; her husband & legend Bob Gibson. The St. Louis Cardinals trained in St. Petersburg, FL, it was the 1960's, and it was before integration. I'm not sure why we didn't fly, but my mother loved to drive anyway.
All across the country, we had to piss on the side of the car. Why? Gas station bathrooms were for whites only and we weren't allowed in them. I thought it was adventurous as a child, my mother made it fun, but imagine how frustrated she was knowing her children were so dehumanized that they couldn't relieve themselves in public establishments. We were too young to have a rational conversation about why we had to do that.
I rarely speak of things I do not know or have not experienced personally. To see those times come back again is disgusting, infuriating, and insulting. I'M NOT GOING BACK! When they say that, I have a further distance to go back to. The most outrageous & transformative times in the history of this country. The Civil Rights Era!
Wow KingRay...just...wow I have no words to adequately describe just how much your comments and praise mean to me! Your stories, your insight, and your experiences - thank you for sharing them. Thank you for the compliment, and I am thankful for your comments :)
Damn. Love your response, but wish I didn't have to discover that sub existed. How can people do that to their children?!?!?!
What a strange title!

The title is still ambiguous
What would you suggest?
It depends on which position you take… it could understood both ways as it currently stands
I just published this and dropped it in that other article with all the transphobic people in the comment/peanut section. LOL

Hey, thanks for this and sharing - what a lovely quote - I like it :)

Ahh, a great addition to add to my pile of evidence for why bathroom laws are bad
